Prepare for the OSHA warehouse safety program

OSHA explains the new warehouse safety national emphasis program

In 2023, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced a new national emphasis program to address warehouse safety with comprehensive inspections to identify and reduce or eliminate hazards.

In this virtual event, a representative from North Carolina’s OSH division will provide attendees with a stronger understanding of the federal and state-level emphasis programs being adopted and adapted across the country, including:

  • How inspections will be triggered or targeted, and how that varies based on your state
  • The specific safety and health criteria compliance officers will be looking for during inspection
  • Proactive steps operations can take to identify potential threats, without risk of a citation

"In the first seven months...Federal OSHA has led over 623 inspections, with a proposed 2.4 million in penalties ...most of those penalties were geared towards powered industrial trucks"
